Alina Orlova - Lithuanian poet, singer, and musician
4:29 PM
Two songs found in the new album.
I have been following this lady's musical career for a while now, and I really admire her voice as well as her piano playing. Her second album entitled Mutabor should be out for release on April 11, 2011 in the US, while it was released in Russia July 9th, 2010. Mutabor was met with praiseworthy reviews by Afisha, a bi-weekly Russian authoritative publication magazine on entertainment, culture, and arts. Her songs are generally full life and passion sung short poems in her native Lithuanian, Russian or English.
The music, precisely as a result [of its novel minimalism], sounds totally uncontrived. It has a playfulness that's employed not for the sake of showcasing Orlova's craftsmanship; instead that playful spirit embodies... well, to be honest, a kind of magic. - Far from Moscow
