I wish I had an official video for this song, but there isn't one. I have truly fallen in love with this song. There is something passionate about this man's voice. This is R&B singer Mateo and I hope you enjoy the song as much as I did.
This is my favorite song from her found in the album "New Morning" 2008
These songs are from the new album "Dreaming"
Sabrina presents a sublime mix of bossas and sambas with touches of R&B and electronica. “Equilibria” combines timeless Brazilian songwriting with contemporary beats to produce this year’s hottest Brazilian debut.
Sabrina is the daughter of Alex Malheiros, bassist from legendary Brazilian band Azymuth. Her grandfather played with Sergio Mendez and was the first Brazilian to manufacture an electric bass, whilst her uncle was the premier violin craftsman in Brazil.

Chelsea Wolfe is inspired by the dark state of the world and the strange connection between all things. She creates a unique musical blend of goth-folk, experimental rock and spiritual realm funeral songs.
Her latest record, Ἀποκάλυψις (pronounced “Apokalypsis”), which was on August 23, 2011.

This is Valeska Steiner, from Zurich, and Sonja Glass, based in Hamburg. A young duo that carves its own musical path. These ladies met in Hamburg and decided to make music together. A kind of songwriter-pop that sounds touching and playful, and his stories from his own life fishing. Their first album is called "Mutual Friends" and it was released September 2, 2011.
White Winter Hymnal by Birdy on Grooveshark My favorite songs from her new album.
Skinny Love (Owsey Remix) by Birdy on Grooveshark Bon Iver cover.
English singer/pianist Jasmine van den Bogaerde, who goes by the stage name “Birdy,” was born in 1996 in Lymington, Hampshire. Precocious from the very start, Bogaerde began composing her own songs at the age of seven, and by 12 had secured the top spot (out of 10,000 competitors) at 2008’s Open Mic UK, a popular live music competition that rewards the winner with a recording contract. In January of 2011, she released her first single, a cover of American indie rock outfit Bon Iver's “Skinny Girl,” which peaked at number 17 on the U.K. pop charts. Her eponymous full-length debut, released through Atlantic Records, arrived later that November.
I'm am a avid concert goer, and I have many pictures that I should share with you. This is my new section called "Pictures of..."
I recently had the opportunity to see this magnificent lady sing. The event was small with around 150 people. She mainly sang songs from her new album, "Chesapeake" as well from her past albums. She has a lovely sense of humor, and made the audience laugh and cry. I was just amazed with the various age ranges that filled "Turner Hall" in Milwaukee. It was an amazing performance, and I would recommend seeing her if she would ever come to your town.
These are a few pictures from the concert that I would love to share. Enjoy!
"To keep my back" is in heavy rotation at the moment for me.
Zambri mixes experimental beats and dueling female vocals with captivating melodies to create unromantic love songs. Filled with gothic and avant-garde pop vocals, the songs might sound familiar, like a lost Siouxsie and the Banshees or Kate Bush classic, but they manage to bring it to an altogether new place. As if remixed by Gang Gang Dance, Zambri lands perfectly amid contemporaries Health, Grimes, Lykke Li, and The Knife.
As sisters, Cristi Jo and Jessica have been creating music together since they were children, always using the Zambri name for several incarnations of recording projects. Glossolalia is the first release they consider all their own, doing things how they want, just the two of them. Most of the sounds on the EP are homemade, many of which are built from vocals, which is perhaps what inspired the title. Glossolalia refers to speaking in tongues; it is a mystical language.

These ladies have been playing their instruments for six years, but started writing songs long before. When it came time to form a band there were no questions asked, they simply grabbed their instruments and started writing. It was a natural evolution of their musical abilities. Growing up they listened to artists such as Jann Arden, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, and Lucinda Williams. They also enjoy the sounds of bands such as Nirvana and The Pixies.
In the summer of 2010 Cherina and Davina signed with URBNET Records and started recording their debut release entitled "Beat Drops" in Central Audio studios in Toronto. They are currently in the studio working on their full length release due in stores and online this fall.
For the moment you can purchase their EP in Bandcamp.
A share interest in great music brought the two girls together. Rebecca Scheja and Fiona Fitzpatrick not only reign Stockholm's club scene, they have become icons for a whole generation of Swedes and represent what hard work combined with talent can do.In May 2010 the girls released their first single - Luminary Ones.
Now itʼs 2011 and it looks to be an even bigger year for Rebecca & Fiona, on January 17 they released their second single - Bullets, who from day one was hailed by both fans and music-critics and reached #2 on the Swedish iTunes chart and #6 on the National singles chart.
Joan & The Sailors on their debut album "Mermaid" (Little Jig / Irascible) is melancholy. The voice of Joan Seiler stands in their expressive power and uniqueness of the majority of indigenous women's voices. Your phrasing adapts to any sound, she resonates to the next moment to break out. This drama of the song is in the best folk-style and let the listeners immerse themselves in the song. Meanwhile, the band created a carpet of sound that combines elements of post rock, goth-folk and trip-hop covers. This mix of styles and lives of the acquaintance of the musicians, the instruments and the wide elegant intercourse between loud and soft. For all the melancholy and sadness all swings but always with a lightness that comes from the skill, similar to the magic of Portishead.
Joan Seiler - vocals, guitar, piano Belia Winnewisser - vocals, percussion Magdalena Booker - cello, backing vocals Mario Dotta - guitar, vocals, percussion Sergio Cruz -Crespo - guitar, backing vocals, mandolin Tolic Danijel - bass Marc Rambold - drums
The Fonxionaires featuring Miss Brandy Butler sound as if they had been frozen in the 60s in the time capsule and now thawed. They give the typical 60s-soul a certain lightness, dust him and make him all danceable, even for those who can not do much with Bee Hives, Bonnie & Clyde and My Fair Lady.
Debut album for the singer and pianist Dominique Dillon de Byington aka Dillon - she made a winding journey from brazil to berlin via cologne. Dillon is inspired by Billie Holiday, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Buckley, and highly recommended by DJ Koze! Everyone knows that DJ Koze has prophetic qualities, and not just since he began dropping tracks under his guru pseudonym swhaimi. You see, many years before, he also waxed oracular about the singer Dominique Dillon de Byington, aka Dillon: "She sings comfortably imperfect and true. She has character. I like her. She has a bright future ahead of her." And that future once prophesied by the wise Hamburg resident about the young artist from Berlin is now, as Dillon has sat down at her piano many times during the past few years and written captivating, quiet songs that definitely should be heard extremely loud. 'This Silence Kills' has been co-produced by Tamer Zg nenc (mit) and Thies Mynther (phantom / ghost, stella) in Hamburg during winter 2011. Review fromRough Trade.
Charlene first picked her father's guitar at the tender and age of 5. Even since she has been head over heels in love with the instrument. Charlene's shortly after bought her own guitar and she spent hours teaching herself to play. She performed in public for the first time at age 8 years old. By the age of 10 her life's ambition was to become a performer.
Some of her musical influences as were child was David Bowie, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and King Crimson. Charlene’s love of the guitar and the above musical genres has developed her distinctive fret flexing style that is incredible to listen to and mesmerizing to watch. Her unique talent and hippified individuality also won her a coveted place at the Brit School, where her peers were Adele, ROX and Kate Nash. Even at such a young age she has captivated sufficiently to be invited to tour with the likes of Stephen Fretwell, Howard Elliot Payne, Kami Thompson and Jon Allen.

Tasseomancy is a continuation of what was a bare bones neo-gothic folk duo. Formerly known as Ghost Bees, Sari and Romy Lightman have begun to experiment with heavier, ambient sounds, influenced by death ritual, hebraic song, war drums, ancestry and myth. The sisters recorded their second full-length this winter with producer Taylor Kirk and accompanying band, Timber Timbre. The album is called Ulalume and it was released on August 30, 2011.
